
This tiny gem is located on the Adriatic coast, 27 kilometers west of Split and 6 kilometers from Split Airport (also known as Resnik Airport – SPU). Trogir is a historic city on a tiny island sandwiched between the Croatian mainland and the island of Ciovo.
For its Venetian architecture, the ancient center of Trogir has been on the UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites since 1997. Trogir has a continuous urban tradition of 2300 years. Its culture was shaped by the ancient Greeks, then the Romans, and finally the Venetians.
A restored castle and tower, as well as a variety of homes and palaces from the Romanesque, Gothic, Renaissance, and Baroque periods, make up Trogir’s medieval centre, which is encircled by walls.


Its tiny lanes overlook magnificent Romanesque and Renaissance buildings from the city’s heyday.
The promenade is a favorite gathering spot for locals and visitors who come to stroll, drink, and relax.
The magnificent Cathedral of San Lorenzo, erected by the Venetians during the 13th and 15th centuries, is Trogir’s architectural treasure.
Trogir is known for its St. Lawrence Cathedral, stronghold Kamerlengo from the 14th century, fortification St.Mark from the 15th century, medieval palace of the Cipiko family, and other Romanesque-renaissance structures.


Trogir has been and continues to be used in a variety of films and television shows (Stealing Heaven, The Merchant of Venice, La strada lunga un anno, Winnetou, Doctor Who, Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell , DIG and Game of Thrones.
